1) Talk to your doctor.
2) Talk to your social worker or nurse.
3) Get your prescription filled at the hospital pharmacy.
4) Go to a large chain pharmacy.
5) Order your pain medicine through a mail-order company.
6) Talk to the hospital pharmacist about how other patients have solved this problem in your local area.
7) Call a local hospice for advice on how to get pain medicine.
8) Buy your pain medicine “on the street”.
