1) Talk to your doctor or nurse.
2) Ask to talk to the person who is going to do the procedure.
3) Postpone the procedure until you are assured that the pain will be adequately managed.
4) Talk to other patients who have gone through the procedure.
5) Refuse to have the procedure.
